Huge fan of Dr. Mills and the whole team at SF Custom Chiropractic! I play field hockey for the U.S. over-45 team, but had been sidelined with a hip impingement and broken foot for over a year before I found SF Custom. It was bad enough that I couldn't walk (hobble) more than half a block without having to stop to keep the muscles in my legs from seizing up, and wasn't able to sleep through the night because of the pain. Several doctors had recommended a hip replacement, and I definitely thought my hockey career might be over. After my first few sessions, I quickly saw improved mobility and stability, which finally let me start strengthening the affected areas again. Over the course of several months, through rigorous physical therapy and regular visits to Dr. Mills to keep things in alignment, I was able to recover enough to rejoin the team and play in this year's World Cup! Even better, I made it through the whole tournament without any further injury, and we had a good result, too! Recovery can obviously be frustrating and take some time and effort, but considering I went from barely being able to walk to where I was able to compete aggressively at a high level again, I couldn't be more thankful to Dr. Mills and team. I love sports and physical activity, so getting that back has truly been life changing!
