I've been dealing with a hamstring issue for over 20 years, and Dr. Locke is the first physician who was able to accurately diagnose it and provide effective treatment. He also helped me with a back problem that had been bothering me. Dr. Locke has an incredible understanding of how the human body functions, and it really shows in the quality of care he provides. On top of that, he's a great communicator, easy to talk to, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. I actually look forward to my appointments—which is not something I ever thought I'd say about going to the doctor!

I found myself in a tough spot early in 2025. I had some mild back pain for a few days, and then one morning—bam—I literally couldn’t get out of bed. The pain was a solid 10/10, and to make matters worse, I had a mountain-climbing vacation planned in just 40 days! Dr. Locke ordered an MRI, and here’s what we were dealing with: L4-L5 level: There was preservation of disc space height, but diminished signal intensity of the disc, indicating disc desiccation. There was also a central/right paracentral/foraminal disc protrusion (4–5 mm), causing right lateral recess encroachment, canal narrowing, and right foraminal encroachment. I chose not to get an epidural steroid injection—which, in hindsight, wasn’t the smartest decision—but after about 7 days, I managed to shuffle into Ohio Mobile Chiropractic to begin physical therapy and Stemwave treatments. I had done physical therapy before, but Stemwave was new to me—and it was amazing. You can feel the Stemwave device working in real time, targeting your lumbar muscles based on their inflammation levels. It was incredibly satisfying and surprisingly effective. After 10 treatments, I was back to 100%—pain-free, back to my workouts, and yes... I climbed that gosh darn mountain! THANK YOU!!

I saw Dr. Locke a couple months ago for knee pain that I was experiencing during and after running. I was unable to maintain my normal exercise without pain. Dr. Locke performed a thorough evaluation and was able to find the imbalances in my strength and mobility that were contributing to the issue with my knee, and recommended exercises to complete a few times a day. After even just a couple of days, I noticed a reduction in pain. At this point, the injury I saw him for has completely subsided. All that said, I would absolutely visit him again if I experienced another injury.

Dr. Locke has helped several family members alleviate pain and return to activity. Most recently, my daughter incurred a soccer injury during her first game of the season. Diagnosed with an avulsion fracture and 2nd degree high ankle sprain, the orthopedic doctor predicted that she would be sidelined for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. Dr. Locke treated her within the first 72 hours and the swelling and bruising were significantly improved. After two more sessions, she was back on her feet and returned to the pitch three weeks after her injury. The orthopedic doctor and high school athletic trainer were amazed with her unusually quick recovery. Thank you Dr. Locke for getting our daughter back on the pitch and playing the game she loves.

Dr. Locke is not going to crack your back and tell you to come back in two days to do it again. He'll actually help you find the root of the problem and address it. His goal is to actually get you better so you don't have to keep coming back. Runners: Do you have pain? Go see Dr. Locke. I don't just mean back pain. If you've got a chronic issue, theres a solid chance he'll figure out the imbalance or compensation pattern causing it and help you get better. I'm an avid distance runner (30-60mi/wk), and was dealing with adductor and hip pain for over a year. PT helped but didn't solve the problem. Someone recommended Dr. Locke, and it's made a huge difference!
