Dr. Meehan is an absolutely brilliant doctor, increadibly skilled and knowledgeable, and equally good and kind person. He listens patiently and is extremely understanding and accommodating, regularly going out of his way to help his patients. His staff is awfully kind and cooperative. I was under Dr. Meehan’s care from the beginning of November 2022 through December 20th 2022. Following my last atlas adjustment on 12/20/22 I ended up in the ER department. The pain was awful, I honestly thought I was going to die. The symptoms that followed were horrific, I became bedridden for months, I am still unable to work 18 months later. This has led to closing my business. Dr Meehan did refer me to Dr. Scott Rosa in NY state. The MRI taken by Dr. Rosa revealed a complicated case of cranio cervical instability. I now know the protocols used by Dr Meehan were completely unsuitable and frankly careless with a one size fits all approach. The protocols are as follows - * Neck massage pre checkup/ adjustment. I’d explained I’d tried massage before and it made my symptoms worse. Frustratingly I asked 3 times for communication with Lauren (massage therapist) about what needed to be done, but this never happened. * Traction pre checkup/adjustment. * Incorrect table set up for atlas adjustments. * Asking me to jut my jaw forward during adjustments. * Encouraging physiotherapy during the same timeframe as my adjustments. * Encouraging Cranio Sacral Therapy treatment post adjustment, where at least 4 week rest period should be taken. Quite simply my life has been in ruins since December 2022. If I hadn’t of seen Dr. Rosa I don’t know where I’d be!!
