He is a very bad person (in both medical ethics and morality). Let me tell you the story. I felt waist pain few month ago. Then I googled online and found him. I called him and tell him my situation. He's very happy and nice at that time. He said he accept insurance and I don't need to pay too much for each treatment and wanted to make appointment for me. I gave him all the required information and said,' Can you check my insurance first? Make sure everything is clear?" But he said, ' Don't worry, you just pay $20 each time you come, after I checked with your insurance I may give you refund if your insurance covered.' I think that's not bad, even though my insurance doesn't pay, $20 is affordable. Then I decided to see him, after first treatment, he said there are many problems and I need to see him at least 3 times a week. I was shocked, his office is far from my home and my company, if I need to see him so often, that will affect my work. But he guaranteed if I follow him, I will be free of pain. Ok, I accepted his suggestion. During treatment, I always asked him, ' Did you check with my insurance?' He said,' Yes, they covered! Don't worry.' Ok, I don't worry any more. But after few treatments, I didn't get well, then I began to doubt and don't want to continue, He still persuaded me to continue those treatments. At that time, my friend told me that he did Chiropractic treatments before and it's not necessary to do it very often, once per week is enough.So I decided to discontinue with him and want to try someone else to see if there's a difference. He is a little bit unhappy at that time and expect me to come back. I think you didn't find how bad he is so far. Ok, continue.... I chose another doctor, it's true, I only need one treatment per week and they don't need insurance. I only pay $48 a month, that means $12 for each treatment. I feel happy with them. One day, I received a bill from Dr. Lee J. Kauffman. It shows I need to pay $50 more. It's unexpected, then I called him ask him why. He became very angry and told me you must pay it if you don't pay it will go to collection! I said,' I asked you many times you said my insurance covered and I may pay less.' He said,' Yes, your insurance said covered, but they lied to me, they didn't pay me, so you must pay!' and I said,'I've already paid you $20 each time, you promised it's enough, if you tell me first how much I need to pay and I accept, I will pay.' He shouted,' I don't want to talk with you any more and do not call me again! You must pay!!' then hung up my phone... I felt so bad. I think I should tell everyone the story.
