I've only had one visit and already feel more seen than I have with most medical professionals. Dr. Barone actually listened and his responses were insightful and articulate. Jeff Barone refused to call back to explain the tests results for a test that he ordered. Staff informed me that in order to speak with him directly that I had to book a follow up Tele health appointment to simply have him explain the way he interpreted a test result so he could charge for an additional visit. Instead, I was only able to speak with his MA who was not the best person to explain the results. I have never had issues with my medication with other providers and wanted to understand his reasoning. In addition, staff at Optima misread my chart and in the text conversations and told me I was pregnant when I am not. The way that he went about this situation was unprofessional and judgmental. I will be seeking a provider with more training and empathy.
