I have been a patient of Dr. Javan Oston and his wife Angela at Bear Canyon Health Circle for over 30 years — and I can say with all my heart, they have been a lifeline through some of the hardest seasons of my life. Do not give this provider your money! They’ll charge you a bogus new patient fee of $130! I showed up to my first appointment and the front desk person said I owed this which made no sense. She then claimed they can’t bill insurance for the first visit, but subsequent visits would be covered. I should have walked out right then, but I was already there so I proceeded. After speaking to my wife, we agreed it did not make sense so the next day I called back to get clarification and then the receptionist changed her story and said they are billing my insurance And the $130 is just a fee they charge new patients. SHE LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE when I was there in person. I then asked what exactly this is for and then she claimed she doesn’t know she’s just a massage therapist and she’d have to have someone named Maria Call me back. well what a shock Maria never called. it’s not a surprise they charge this fee. The business business clearly isn’t doing well. They don’t have a receptionist, the office and the equipment is old and dingy, and they don’t even have a credit card machine! The receptionist literally had to type in my credit card number. I have already booked another appointment with a different Chiro and confirmed they don’t charge any new patient fee. Bear Canyon is a joke. Find a different provider provider.
